Cleaning: For exterior areas where dust and/or dirt accumulate, stone should be periodically washed down. For areas that need more cleaning, scrub with a soft bristle brush in conjunction with a solution of granulated soap or detergent and water. Rinse with clean water afterwards.
NOTE: While installing, clean off residue mortar with a damp rag. Do not wait until mortar has dried to clean it off. Do Not use high pressure power washers, wire brushes, acid or acid based products.
Scuffing: Most scuffs can be removed with the cleansing methods mentioned previously. Sealing Veneerstone can also minimize scuffing. In most cases, scuffing will fade or disappear completely in time with no treatment at all.
In the unlikely event that efflorescence occurs, allow the stone to dry thoroughly, and then scrub with a soft bristle. Rinse immediately with clean water and allow it to dry. If efflorescence is still visible, scrub with a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 5 parts water. Rinse with clean water.
Overtones of color are integrated into the stone during the molding process, while the base color of the stone is blended entirely throughout.

The photographs of our stone are of actual Veneerstone projects and are accurate renderings of the stone’s colors. However, we recommend ordering a sample board to assist you in your color selection.
When you first receive your stone the color may appear darker than that of the sample board. After a short time, the stone will cure to reveal its "natural color".
